A Place To Call Home - VFX REEL
Surreal World created extensive visual effects and animation to evoke the bygone era of 1950s Sydney, Australia. The digitally created classic cars, buses, and ferries were brought to life along with pedestrians dressed in period costume to populate the recreated settings of George Street, Circular Quay, and Sydney Harbour before modern skyscrapers took over the skyline. Throughout the 6 season series, Surreal World also created a huge range of VFX such as the birth of a newborn baby, CGI Animals, house fires, shotgun shootings and flesh wounds, and realistic environments of Hawaii, the Burma Railway, and Jerusalem, all set in the late 1950s.
